How would you like to take a walk through the woods with me?
It is a beautiful day and the sunshine is breaking through the branches atop the forest canopy. You reach an opening on the unbeaten path you are traveling, and just take in a deep breath.
Within that deep breath, the smell of the earth, trees, and woodland wonder surround you and the scent makes you feel one with nature.
That is the scent of Kypris’ Deep Forest Clay Mask. It is the best way that I can describe it. The aroma is part of the experience. It’s a true ritual with nature.
This line continuously has impressed me the past 2 years I have found it. Their products are high-performance, holistic, organically wild-crafted, with sustainably grown ingredients. Check out their about page to read about their business, practices and how they honor the earth making their products.
Since I have finished my whole container of this mask, it was time for a review. This is a mask that I will be purchasing again.
Used every last drop.
So, let’s dig deeper.
What does it feel like? How do you apply it? It comes in a creamy form. I use a make-up brush and take out about a dollop and apply on my face and neck. It dries on your face. For people with sensitive or reactive skin, leave on about 5 minutes, but less sensitive skin types can leave on for 20. Rinse with warm water afterward. I always used a warm cloth to help take off.
What is it for? It’s a mask and exfoliant to detoxify, brighten, soften, sooth, renew, and gently dissolve congestions.
What are the ingredients? It uses nature’s renewing treasures: cleansing clay, mineral-rich oceanic salt, soothing algae, botanical exfoliants, medicinal trees, roots, leaves, and flowers.
The featured ingredients are:
MONTMORILLONITE: A simultaneously detoxifying, exfoliating, and hydrating mineral clay.
POTPOURRI OF MEDICINAL BOTANICALS: A simultaneously detoxifying, exfoliating, and hydrating mineral clay.
SEA ALGAE: Soothing hydration to calm skin’s barrier.
OCEANIC SALTS: Proffer a wealth of 73 unique minerals to calm and soothe.
BOTANICAL ACIDS: A gentle chemical exfoliation to complement physical exfoliation.
ASIATICOSIDE: The active saponin of Centella asiatica gently dissolves superficial congestions & cares for connective tissues.

What skin type should use it? Most skin types can use this. I could only use it once a week because I have sensitive/reactive skin. I would leave on less time the first time you try, if you have skin like me.
How long did it last you? This lasted me almost a year, using it once a week.
If you are thinking, why should I go with a mask based in green beauty? Think about your skin. It is your largest organ. Daily, your skin is exposed to pollutants and chemicals that you have no control over, what you do have control over is how you care for it. If you are buying a mask that is full of chemical ingredients, where do you think those chemicals go? They penetrate your bloodstream. But, if you think on a logical level, natural ingredients that come straight from the earth fit better with our biochemistry. Which one do you think your body/skin is going to respond better to?
In my opinion, nurturing and powering your skin with nature is the way to go.
